Dragons
As shape-shifters that have two forms (human and dragon); Dragons are powerful creatures which balance between brute force and, in many cases, rather powerful magic. There are a variety of types, though there are a number of things that are true for all. They are born in their human form, and assume their 'true' nature for the first time while they grow through early infancy. Physical prowess is a key factor in any Dragon's makeup. They are inherently strong, even in their human form - though at a more subtle level where different types are concerned. They are all armed with fangs and claws, the latter of which can be accessed even in their human form. Some are made for the air, with wings, and others are shaped for the water, with fins. There are even those who take to both. They all have a high healing factor in both of their forms, though it slows down when there are high level wounds or too many at once. None can heal a severed spinal column, beheading or highly damaged heart. All Dragons are also highly resistent to most diseases and are immune to toxins, as well. While they age slowly, they are not immortal; natural death typically finds them around the age of 1,500. Hell-beast Dragons will return to Hell upon this age, and not be able to return to Earth. Earth-born/bound Dragons' final destination will be determined much the way a human's is, with an understanding of their bestial nature in view.

Green Dragons In the history of their kind, Green Dragons are known as the most simplistic of all the breeds. Like the rest of their kindred, they are powerful fighters as well as shapeshifters. While they do breathe fire in their true form, they cannot manipulate said element magically while in their human form. Their healing factor is still in place, as is the status of their immortality outside of any heavy wounds or serious diseases that their general immunity can not fight. They are an Earth based breed.

•Green Dragons vary in general breed-based personality, and have no true society of their own. They tend to group with like-minded individuals of their kin, be they Green or otherwise, as long as they are accepted by them.

Red Dragons Wrathful, warlike and dominating, many Red Dragons fit in to the fiery persona of their breed's main element. They have the ability to breathe a lava burst in their true form, while also being able to control fire in their human aspect. They are known to be rather exacting, often times only caring for their own kind - if they care for any one at all. Red Dragons tend towards a warrior tribe aspect, their heirarchy is based upon combative trails and the prowess seen within such displays. Though there are family units, there is often little emotional care outside of what needs be for their young's basic survival. Most of their culture gravitates to admiring shows of strength, muting emotional responses and seeing the such as signs of weakness to be stamped out. This is a Hell-beast breed; they can survive in Hell and teleport between the two realms. Upon death on Earth, they will be consigned to Hell for eternity unless they have betrayed their Masters in full, whole hearted repentance.

• Of all the Dragon breeds, Reds are the fastest. Red Dragons are also equipped with poisonous claws; they are able to access their venom even in their human form. It is very deadly to humans, though it takes time to impact larger or more magical creatures on the lethal scale - however, any who do not die will become very ill upon its introduction to their system. Other dragons are immune to this, of course.

•Reds do not take well to extreme cold; in fact, too many freezing attacks can be extremely detrimental to them. It has been proven lethal in many cases.

•They are just under the Green Dragons in size; tending towards 30 meters on average in their true form.

Blue Dragons Blue Dragons are water based, nearly serpent-like Dragons that can not fly. They can, however, swim. Most of the time, they prefer to be in the depths of the ocean or the cooling reaches of a lagoon; basking in the sunlight. They are very maternal, with their small clustering family sets living under the rule of a common matriarch that is more or less elected by her peers. They tend towards being far removed from the rest of their brethren, though they can be counted upon to shelter those in need from the likes of Green, Silvers and, depending upon the circumstances, Golds. Blue Dragons have the ability to breathe a burst of water upon their enemies; they also have the ability to manipulate water while in their human form. Overall, Blue Dragons are known for being peaceful creatures who would rather not be involved in battles; however, they can be fierce opponents when cornered. They are an Earth based breed.

•Vocal mimicry is another ability of Blue Dragons; they can copy the vocal pattern of almost any creature they've heard before.

•Blues do not take well to dry climates; while they can move upon land, they must always be in areas which are near to water or have enough moisture to keep them comfortable. Extreme heat is also very unhealthy to them.

•Blues can grow to be 45 meters in length. Further more, while they are nearly serpent like, and wingless - they have webbing and claws, making them swift and lethal in their watery homes.

Silver Dragons Once, Silver Dragons were plentiful and lived mainly in their human form. They were very fond of aesthetic beauty, refined culture and dignified order. There was much grandeur, and they took much pride in their homes; their city was as silvery and as beautiful as the moonlight they so loved. All the finesse and nuances of an advanced civilization was theirs. From a royal house and nobility to very strict guidelines on how they managed everyday life, even to the nuances of who they could and could not breed with was established and adhered to closely. Of course, when it was not kept to, there were always consequences - visited upon the children of the unsanctioned unions, victims of the social idealism in place. At times, many took to keeping their bloodlines to their own families; wishing to ensure the purity of their breed, and to retain certain inheritances where they originated. While they had connections with their kindred outside of their own kind, relations were always kept at a polite distance if the need called for it. In the end, however, there were those among the Silvers who did not wish to live in such controlled splendor. Instead, they wished to live towards their true draconian natures. This sub-culture created a great deal of strife; uprising upon uprising that caused much damage coupled with dwindling numbers. This eventually concluded in one last catastrophic civil war. Silver Dragon society was all but destroyed. In the end, the Silvers were scattered; many taking shelter with any of their kindred that would accept them. Currently, they are among the rarest of the different breeds; they are also Earth based.

•Silver Dragons have the ability to breathe a silvery, metallic blast which sticks to any surface or individual it touches; slowly eating away at it, much like acid. In their human form, they can manipulate this elemental substance towards equally devastating aspects. While Silvers are very keen on cold, and upon moonlit nights; they do not take well to extreme heat, and fire attacks can be deadly to them if they take too much at one time.

•Silvers also have the ability to create a paralyzing gas; it impacts it victims in accordance to their species - lasting longer in humans (around an hour's time) to smaller increments for creatures that are larger or of more magical qualities than the common mortal.

•Among the largest of the different breeds, Silvers typically measure to about 60-61 meters on average.

Black Dragons Solitary warriors, Black Dragons are known to prefer the swampy, dark areas where they make their homes on Earth. While they are like their Red cousins in their love of fierce battle and their prowess within the such places them upon their communities highest pedestals - they are much more keen on the emotional side of familial connections when they are had. Emotional reactions and bonds with others are not seen as a weakness, but are rather collected like a treasure when they are made. Through this, they are known to be extremely protective of these individuals they've made such ties with. Due to their affinity with the swamp they've adapted so well to, Black Dragons are able to move well within water while in their human form - though they are not able to breathe while submerged. Some are Hell-based, others are Earth-based; depending upon their paternal lineage. Hell-based Black Dragons can survive in Hell and teleport between the two realms; Earth bound are unable to do such things. Upon death on Earth, the Hell-born individuals will be consigned to Hell for eternity unless they've betrayed their Masters in full, whole hearted repentance.

•Black Dragons breathe acidic vapors; both burning and melting their victims. They are able to manipulate the same elemental cloud while in their human forms, as well as create it by their will. While they can move in sunlight, they are not completely comfortable under bright skies, though it happens that ice is their total antithesis.

•Along with their mastery over their acidic vapor, Black Dragons are known to have the longest claws among the Dragon-kin in relation to their size; even in their human form. They are also able to communicate with the other inhabitants of swampland, calling and commanding them should they need to.

•Black Dragons tend to measure in at around 40 meters on average, putting them just over the middle grounds among the breeds.

Gold Dragons While they are more or less solitary creatures, Gold Dragons are known to be treasure hoarders. They are very magpie like in their need to collect pretty, shiny things; and living beings can be seen as the such. Indeed, it is well known that Gold Dragons will take mates because they were attractive and the Gold wished to make them their own. Sometimes, this does not go over well with their intended; other times, it is all for the best. However, not all Golds take their mates in this way - but they all do come to find their mates, their extended family, and all the children which come from said partners, as being treasures. It is perhaps the one place where their greed is not overwhelming to all other aspects of their person. When a Gold Dragon loves, it is for a lifetime; they can be very tender, filled with much familial love and affection. They are also extremely romantic. While there isn't often a true society for the Golds, they tend towards a matriarchy chosen by power plays and back-biting when they are among their own kind. However, they are growing to be extremely rare. Atop of that, most tend to enjoy living in the family units they form with mates. Unless they are left alone with their hoard. Regardless, it is always very dangerous to try to take a treasure from a Gold Dragon. If they do not seek revenge immediately, it will be worse for the thief; a truly enraged Gold will take their time to plot out the best way to destroy their enemy - body and soul - if they can. Gold Dragons are an Earth based breed.

•Gold Dragons have a very strong affinity for sunlight; indeed, they are not only named for the golden hue of their scales, but also for the solar flare they can breathe. In their human forms, they are also able to manipulate burning solar energy to their will. Gold Dragons do not burn; indeed, they love the feel of flames. Some have been known to bask in the pyres they've created of their victims.

•Extreme colds are things which Gold Dragons can not truly abide. In fact, they can prove to weaken and even kill them when such conditions grow to be too much. Gold Dragons are also fond of daytime, though they are not weakened by the night.

•Gold Dragons are the largest Dragon breed; they average in at around 76 meters, give or take a few.
